You know EXACTLY what time it is… Bucket List time! So this is of course a scheduled post because at the time this goes up, I will be – once again – camping at a Shell Eco-Marathon Event, this time in the UK at Rockingham. I’m sure I’m having a great time, avoiding the rain in my leaking tent… I will at least try to, I’m sure it isn’t really going to be that bad… I hope!
Ok… so I cheated at this one. I added this to the list just after booking my appointment for my little Simba tattoo on the 26th July last year… I had wanted to get a tattoo for a long time and had Simba planned for several months (although he isn’t yet finished… but I will get to that). I didn’t add it earlier because, I wanted this one which means something to me, I didn’t want to get a tattoo for the sake of having a tattoo, so I didn’t add it to my bucket list. Instead I added it as incentive to not back out due to my fear of needles.
On to the reason it isn’t finished and the meaning… so as you will all know by now, I am a MASSIVE Disney fan, but that isn’t the only meaning behind my little tattoo. I decided that I want to do something to celebrate going to university. So I got Simba after passing my first year and once I graduate, I want to add the mane and the line across the forehead (like in the film) in bright red. As I am coming up to finishing my second year of university, I am still 3 years off graduating what with my Masters and my placement year which I have decided to do after my third year.
I actually chose to write this post now for a reason… I have just booked another tattoo… I am getting “Ohana” on my forearm, nothing too big, on the 14th July and I can’t wait, but at the same time I am incredibly nervous again.
I know this is another Disney reference, but I also love the meaning behind it… “Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten”. I just love that as family has always meant a lot to me and I miss mine so much when I am at university, but we all need to move away someday.
Anyway… enough about my tattoo (soon to be tattoos!), I would love to know what tattoos you have, so let me know in the comments below! I would also love to hear what you all have on your bucket lists!
Thanks for Reading 🙂
