The Make-Up Essentials for a Lazy Weekend…

Hi Guys! So I did have the second part of my obsessions planned for today but my boyfriend and I are visiting his parents for the weekend (as with most weekends) and I forgot to take the pictures before I left, so I have decided to write about the make-up products that I like to bring with me for the two days that I am here. We are just having a lazy weekend, nothing special so I will be wearing a natural, minimal make-up look. This is also pretty much my everyday make-up look however I do often do a little bit more.

  1. Benefit Porefessional Primer

I brought a mini of this recently because I hadn’t tried it and I wanted to see what it was like. I do think my make-up goes on smother than when I use my L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer and for lazy days I don’t want the glow from the Lumi Magique.

  1. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (in 1 Fair)

Of course I have this with me, I love using this as it gives great coverage on those places where I feel I need it and it is a bargain price. I do sometimes have trouble with this under my eyes though. I sometimes find this hard to blend and it doesn’t always cover my dark circles so I want to look for a good under eye concealer that isn’t too heavy, I would love to hear your recommendations.

  1. Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder (in 001 Transparent)

I use this after my concealer to set it and lightly over the rest of my face to even it out. I have tried a No7 Loose powder but I found it quite messy and a pain to use when I travel like this.

  1. Collection Colour Lash Mascara (in Clear)

I actually use this to tame my brows. I have quite thick eyebrows which I carefully pluck myself because I am too worried that they will be over plucked if I let someone else near them (although I am tempted to get them properly done when I am home over Easter). I just use this clear mascara to keep my brows in place through the day.

  1. Eyeshadows

I have two eyeshadow options with me, one is the L’Oreal La Palette Nude (in Rose) which has a nice range of nude shades that complement my skin tone in a nice compact palette, I don’t even really need to bring my second option but I have really been loving it for more natural days. This is the Max Factor Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow (in Pearl Beige). I brought this recently when it was on offer as I hadn’t tried a liquid eyeshadow before, or Max Factor products for that matter. I really like this. It is very similar to my natural skin tone but with the really gorgeous shimmer, which I think this is great for a subtle look. Today I have used this with the second from right colour in my palette being used as soft eyeliner.

  1. Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara (in 001 Blackest Black)

2015-02-28 12.51.02

This is my go-to mascara; I absolutely love it (see winter favourites post coming on Monday). This can be used lightly for a nice fluttery day-time look or layered more for better volume as an evening look. I have seen on the Superdrug website that this also comes in blackened brown but I haven’t seen this on any other website or in store so I may have to order it and see if it is actually brown as I would quite like it to use on days like these.

  1. Lipstick/gloss
Left to Right: Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon; Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie; Revlon Moisture Stain in Milan Moment; Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in Chic.

I like to bring a choice so I can pick depending on my mood. I have with me;

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter (in 096 Macaroon and 050 Berry Smoothie) these are very similar shades, however macaroon is slightly darker with a bit more of a sparkle to it.

Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain (in 030 Milan Moment) I really like this on days where I can’t be bothered with re-applying, once the gloss has gone, the colour is still there because of the stain so I don’t need to pay too much attention to it.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss (in Chic) this is the palest colour and looks really lovely, however it does need to be re-applied quite regularly.

I keep these all in my Revlon Make-up bag and I apply it with my Real Techniques and Eco-Tool Brushes.

So there we have it, my lazy day make-up essentials. Let me know if you would like me to post a full review of any of these products! I will probably do a review of the Porefessional soon.

Please also comment if you would like me to post my full everyday make-up look.

If you enjoyed this post, please give it a like and share so that others can enjoy it too!
