Eyelash Curlers Scare Me…

Hi guys, I have an Ickle Blog for you today, please enjoy!

I haven’t ever used eyelash curlers; they are something that I have been considering but each time I look at some, I always feel a bit scared – they look like some kind of medieval torture instrument. I don’t scare easily either. I love horror films and I am perfectly happy controlling a Lathe, milling machine, laser cutter, or even helping to hold down an F3 hovercraft at full revs… but eyelash curlers genuinely scare me.

I’m not even entirely sure if eyelash curlers are necessary for me, but I don’t think my eyelashes are overly curled naturally. I would love your opinion of this from the picture below.

It’s not an amazing picture; I have been in the workshop this afternoon so my make-up got a bit smudged.

Mascara: Revlon Photoready 3D Volume in Blackest Black

Eyeliner: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Liner in Brown

Eyeshadow: L’oreal La Palette Nude (can’t remember which shades I used) and MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder in Iridescent Gold

Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection in 1 Fair

Foundation: No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation in Calico

I do promise to get a proper profile picture uploaded soon, I just can’t find one I like and don’t have time to sort another at the moment!

Anyway back to the point… I have been trying Benefit Rollerlash (thank you Elle Magazine!) and, I might be using it wrong, but I didn’t find that it made much more of a difference than my Revlon mascara. So, should I take the plunge and give eyelash curlers a try? What curlers would you recommend to be the best option? Please tell me in the comments!

If you enjoyed this blog please give it a like and share and I will try to post more like this!

Thanks for reading 🙂

  1. I love the no7 ones! Just always curl before mascara (some people do it after and I can’t imagine how bad that is for your eyelashes) and if you worried start off with pressing them gently, they will make a huge difference! Xx
